destination Art Space, a gallery within an upscale boutique merging fashion and art, is pleased to present recent works by Ezra Talmatch, John Ryan Solis, Scott Hill and Tokio Kuniyoshi. These New York based artists create paintings, drawings and collages that explore their individual personal worlds. Objects in their worlds speak to us deeply from varied perspectives with a flavor of surrealism.

The concept-derived assemblage above, entitled “The Beginning of New Classics,” also plays a vital role in destination Art Space’s new change.

Driven by its mission – making art accessible to the public at incredible prices and offering great artists a public forum – destination Art Space has hosted an open-call, affordable-art exhibition series featuring dozens of emerging and professional artists. Since this series is one of the Space's most popular and has built a great reputation, dedicated to its mission above, destination Art Space will focus this series with our upcoming exhibitions.

Hoping the new series will be the Space’s new classic, this four-person exhibition showcasing some of our most popular artists is the precursor of this transition.

the post-graduate update

I know I haven't been updating lately and I apologize to those I haven't replied back yet. I am working full-time at the moment and it's been real difficult to get on my own projects (i think because commuting has been sucking the life out of me). BUT- I will get back on my grind and finally get back into producing new work, especially for the next upcoming group show. More info TBA...

no more time to play

...so that's it. i'm officially out of that "loop," and off to the real world. 

is it really that bad out there?

i guess that the great thing about my profession is that it's really organic. i get to be my own boss, work in own studio (aka bedroom)...shit i can even work on an assignment in my boxes. but now it's time get serious and stop waking up at 1pm. 

last week was really hectic with all the portfolio reviews. i hope everyone did well! if i had the chance, i would have definitely gone out to check out the SVA computer art screening. my boy Joji had his piece shown at the Walter Reade Theater over at Lincoln Center.  i'm sure people wet their pants when they saw the film. it was very original and the concept was great because it was really simple and sweet. the graphics were stunning, and it surely felt like i was watching some pixar production, with a lil hint of miyazaki.  um...fucking ridiculous. hey Joji, i'm looking forward to that collab in the near future.
